In this experiment, a girl has left her bike lock at home and asks male passers-by to run into the drug store and buy her some tampons. See the hilarious, and eye-opening, lengths people go to in order to avoid the embarrassment of buying tampons.
@autumn you must have a great husband and brother i don't have a husband or boy friend at the moment but i hope one day i will that will buy me tampons! as for my brother he can't even say tampon! :) love to see his face turn red though.
LOL I don't think I have laughed so hard in a long time. My husband and brother buy me tampons all the time. Hell I have even asked Male's at walmart to grab me down a box of the high shelf since I am so dang short (5'0). Some will say sure others ask if I'm crazy.
i love them, i started at my grandmas house and i bought them with me and i called my mom and she walked me through it they are so easy to use i dont even feel them and they dont hurt to pull out like sports ones doo:) good job girls on coming up with the best ones ever!!!:) the
To Lilly that was really mean. But, anyway most guys just are like that. But, my dad. He's pretty cool about it. But, i've never asked him to go to the store for my period.
I would NEVER ask any male to buy me feminine products. when i got my first period, my dad was at the store already, and my mom called him and told him to pick up pantyliners for me! lol
why is it talking about a vagina isnt' bad when it comes to sexual content. Most people (esp guys) jump right in to talk about sex but when it comes to hygeine it becomes dirty.
@BJ, this is exactly what this website is trying to change! tampons, periods, and vaginas are such taboo nowadays, and there's no reason for it! it's part of life. you better get comfortable with it now if you plan on having a wife someday :)
Oh That wAS SOO funny , Can you go buy me tampons. For what? ha those guys need to man up if she was like u wanna go buy me some condoms they would have run in there in an instant sigh i guess women will never uderstand men
Guys and men listen up, if you can't be MAN enough to buy your woman tampons, you should not have sex. PERIOD. Bc if you can buy a condom, you can buy a tampon. Grow up.
Yes a tampon is a "personal" item, but all girls have it. And like most of you have said, if it was a condom they would have ran to go and get it. And a condom is personal as well, yet it would not have been a problem for those guys to go and get. Guys like them are so rediculous
Can guys be any more STUPID! They can clearly see you naked but they cant run in to buy you a box of tampons. If it were condoms they would be be in there QUICK!
OMG, some guys are idiots! Sometimes they don't want to look in your purse cuz they act like Tampons or Pads will catapult out at them! If it was a guy asking a woman to buy condoms, I bet she would. Maybe she should ask if "Baggies" would work?!
Some guys are okay with buying "Feminine Products" or talking about periods, my son is 6 and he understands what a period is! if I'm in need of something while in the bathroom, he'll get it for me!
Jeez I don't understand why guys won't buy tampons, it won't kill you. I asked my Dad to get me some and he came home with the Heavy flow when I'm a regular. But at least he wasn't scared of getting his 13 year old daughter tampons.
Ladies, we are talking about a personal product. They don't want to know about your period. That girl is way out of line asking a strange man to buy something so personal for her. Only boyfriends/husbands/dads/grown sons should be asked that.
oh my gosh thats so mean!! why won't they do it? my boyfriend would be so proud to buy me some because he is doing me a favor, he would actually buy me some chocolatetoo hahaha. I'm guessing none of those guys were fathers??
Boys r very rude sometimes wen it comes to a girls period especially if its an emergencey and u can't go in and get tampons or pads the should respect women more because they don't know what were going through andhow embarassing it is.
I used to send my cousin to the store to get me tampons, my mom only had big ol pads at home, and she never told me about tampons, I was so excited when I discovered them! But yeah I like the video, my husband id not afraid to get mine..
I think in the interest of science there should be a control video where she asks guys to buy her, say, toothpaste, I think she would still get weird reactions, but not to the same degree.
It's stupid that guys won't help someone out. seriously, i mean, it's not like you're going to have to watch us use them, or you don't have to do anything else. the store people aren't going to ask who they are for. i don't see the problem in men going in and buying tampons.
Most guys dont even know what tampons are and they would become very embarrassed to be at a check out counter to buy tampons for a girl they dont know. if you put it in a situation in which a guy is buying tampons for his girlfriend. That maybe a differnet case
so 60% of the guys don't have any problem to buy tampons. I know I wouldn't. what's the problem, and why don't you show the guys that wouldn't mind to buy tampons
And men talk about being men, but they're just 'guys', not men. What's the big deal? Granted, stranger she may be, but seriously, why is it so embarrassing? It's cotton in a friggin' tube, it's not like they've been used when you buy 'em or something lol
This is a stupid video. My goodness, girls, what are you trying to prove? So what if guys don't feel comfortable with doing this. Why should they? This generation is always trying to "prove something" by pushing others.
It's funny what response the word tampon elicits! Back in the day, I was so embarressed to buy period stuff, but my brother would buy them for me and be overly-friendly to the cashier as if to say "Gotta problem? Yeah, I'm buying tampons, get over it!" Haha!
I admit, I probably wouldn't want to buy a personal item for a stranger. Most of my ex-boyfriends were really mature about periods, and my current boyfriend is awesome about it. He has no problem going out to get me tampons and midol and he is never grossed out or anything.
I think it's fine to have games where the stereotypically masculine male helps the even more stereotypical damsel in distress. However, instead of them shooting some zombie or assassin, let's have a mission where they search for a pack of tampons.
lol her face was hilarious. i know for a fact my bro's dad and boyfreind would get me some if i needed them to. my bf would do that for me. we would oth be a little embarrased but he always wants to know hwat he can do to make me feel better:)
This is priceless! Really, what's so scary about buying a box of tampons? Half the worlds population is female, and we all get it. You'd think people'd be over it by now.
I totally agree i would be reaely mad if i asked and they wouldnt, i think they should do one where the chick is outta money and needs tampons and see if any of the reactions change
Ok I'm with you guys, I sure would slap them. Especially the guy that walked away. It's easy to get tampons! And school yourself, boys. The guy that asked "for what?" was so stupid :P They ARE just tampons.
I wanted to punch the guy who said "That's gross" in the f***ing face. I'll bet you a million dollars he went home and watched Saw 5000 or played Call of Duty the second he set foot in the door. Those are filled with blood, too, but if it comes out of a vagina it's gross?
hahahaha thas funny now they're afraid of tampons... my best friend buys me tampons all the time... and people look at him like "what?" and the cashiers freak out and he always says "dude its for my best friend you know she's a girl and have needs so stop starring"
Its so upsetting that even in this day in age, with all the fetish porn and how open moms are with their sons. That these men are grossed out or confused about tampons. dont these men have sisters??
It's silly that guys would jump at the chance to have sex, but if asked to buy a tampon they refuse? Really? They love spending time in vaginas, and they all came out of vaginas (assuming they weren't delivered by c-section), but they can't buy a tampon?? Lame.
I have purchased my mother adult dipers before. My mom was very ill and I was her caretaker. Me being a man I don't see this being a big deal. I buy myself toilet paper or new undies when I need them.
Oh My Gosh! Lmao I can't believe what some of the guys were saying! It kind of ticked me off when that one guy said "No, that's gross." Then the guy who said "Tampons for what?
Oh god even I am afraid to buy tampons, and to think I just realized this! lol how silly that I don't want people to know I have a period though I clearly want them to know I'm a woman ...look at my amazing boobs in this shirt I mean come on.. ;)
My husband freaked out and threw a fit the first time he was forced to buy me tampons (I was in too much pain). He still came home with them though! He said it wasn't that big of a deal, but he'd rather not do it again... He's obviously a big baby!
OMG, are you kidding me?!? Guys just need to suck it up, I mean WE are the ones who have to deal with it every month. What do they have to deal with? Huh? What was that? Oh right! Diddly squat. Next time your girlfriend asks you to buy her some tampons, suck it up and do it.
I completely understand with the guys. I will never buy tampons for myself. It's so embarrassing, it's like telling the cashier that you're going to go home and stick something in your lady parts. I only buy pads--way less embarrassing.
I really fail to see how neon packaging "breaks the cycle." If the good peoplke at Kotex are truly concerned with fighting menstruation stigma, perhaps they should avoid using language such as 'down there' on the survey on this website.
I dot understand why guyz trip!! They dont nearly even HAVE a clue what we have to go through every friggen month! And it really agrivates me when they ask me a personal question about that! Why dont THEY have to go through anything!? Whats so gross about it!?
i must have an amazing husband because he doesnt mind the whole period thing, he would buy me tampons any day and he thinks sex is better when im on my period! Hes amazing!
my husband changes the subject if i even mention my period but he'll still buy tampons if i ask him ( i think he just does it so i stop saying the word "period" ! lol)
