  • I have never used a menstrual cup so I am not quite sure and I don't want to give you any false information. Maybe Dr. Molly can help you out with this!
  • I've never used a menstrual cup myself, but as I understand it they are inserted as the base of the vagina -- not near the cervix. I highly doubt there is enough suction to cause any damage. After all, they are designed specifically for use in the vagina! If you're having trouble with removal or experiencing discomfort, contact the manufacturer of your menstrual cup.
  • Great question! Even though the menstrual cup stays in place as a result of suction, the amount of negative pressure needed to keep it there is small and won't cause any trauma to the cervix when the cup is removed. A menstrual cup is an environmentally friendly and safe way to manage your period!
